The University prepares economists, managers of productions, specialists in the financial area, bookkeeping calculation and Audit, information- analysts, specialists in service, engineers for the care of motor transport, complex household equipment, designers of clothing, artists of decorative skill and specialists in the region of socio-cultural service and tourism, of social workers, public relations specialists, journalists, sociologists, jurists, specialists of the trade and restaurant business for the enterprises of the small and mid-sized business, whose weight steadily grows in the economy and the national income of the country.

The graduates of university work at the leading enterprises of the service of the Russian Federation, in the banks, in the state administrative structures, tourist firms and in the establishments for the social protection of population, in enterprises for maintenance and repairing of motor transport, complex household equipment, in the author's studio, in fashion houses and in the small and mid-sized business.

Within the framework the Saint Petersburg State University of service and economy, there are six institutes, ten departments, thirty two branches and regional departments.

Today, Saint Petersburg State University of service and economy has sufficiently wide geography. Those of thirty nine branches and regional departments are in different cities of Russia.

The University develops the comprehensive plan of development, optimization and coordination of education in the regional departments, also university prepare the program of distance learning, which based on the computerization of educational process for each branch and regional department. All these processes contributes to an improvement of the quality of education and to the development of the service networks of Russia and its partners from the neighbor foreign countries.



There are thirty two specialties and more than fifty specializations at the university.


The University has steady training, scientific traditions. The scientific conferences of students and teachers are conducted. Also the student scientific society works.
