Title of the Project Proposal: WISHEs – Web-based Information- and Community-Platform for International Students in Higher Education: Erasmus Complete

The project will aim at providing a central top-down and bottom-up structured web-based Information- and Community-Platform covering all European and selected third country Higher Education Institutions (HEI). Within this context the WISHEs-Project provides these HEIs with the opportunity to centrally present itself towards international students on standardized micro-sites. Additionally, the use of web 2.0 technologies enables students and alumni to act as ambassadors for their university. Their comments and ratings complement the HEI’s presentations and add further value on the provided information. Besides, the WISHEs-Project will aim at setting up a central work-placement database and an Online Community in order to enable the knowledge transfer between and within the generations of international students – before, during and after the actual period of time spend abroad.
